Founder & CEO Alice has been selected to join the inaugural Aral School in Uzbekistan — an interdisciplinary programme based in the Aral Sea region, one of the world’s most climate-impacted landscapes. Over six months, Alice will learn alongside global and local practitioners working across food systems, water resilience, ecology, culture and community-led change, bringing these insights back into CSN’s work across Australia and Timor-Leste.

It was time for a change. A refresh. A makeover.

While we loved our old labels, they did not truly reflect Timor-Leste in the way we wanted, and they weren’t as bold and exciting as the feeling you get when you walk through our roastery doors in Oakleigh.

A self-taught coffee roaster, Jake’s attention to detail and desire to create amazing coffee has seen him take out both bronze and silver medals in the Australia and New Zealand Golden Bean Coffee Roasting Competition. But where did his journey with coffee begin?

We’re excited to announce that in Timor-Leste, construction of our flagship Dili hub is well underway. Once complete, it will act as the country's first coffee roastery, food preservery, cafe and live-in training centre.

Dina Sequeira is one dynamic woman! Hailing from Dili, Dina is the local food entrepreneur (aka zero waste superstar) behind our first preserving hub in Timor-Leste, where she works to ensure local communities have food year-round. This is no easy task when intense wet and dry seasons mean that fresh produce is either abundant or scarce.
