In January, we took some time to re-vitalise our cafe space and welcomed back an old team member in a new capacity as Cafe Manager.
Rachel is a Pastry Chef with a wealth of experience both in Melbourne and abroad. Over the last few hot weeks, Rachel has been perfecting doughs, testing new recipes and experimenting with unique flavours to bring fresh and delightful additions to our cafe menu.
The new menu will highlight seasonal ingredients, light bites, lunch items, and of course fabulous sweet treats like cinnamon scrolls, rotating Danish flavours and the Corner Store favourite, brownies.
Some of you may be familiar with Rachel, who first began at The Corner Store Network a few years ago as a volunteer in our Preserving program. Rachel continued with our team as the Preserving Chef, before heading overseas last year to travel, explore, and of course bake. We’re so pleased to welcome Rachel back to the Corner Store team.
