Course summary
If you’d like to learn how to make authentic Moroccan cuisine from a Moroccan Israeli immigrant and Free to Feed alumni, this is the event for you!
Participants will be introduced to Moroccan and Israeli flavours and techniques, while learning new and unusual ways to incorporate Corner Store preserves into cooking. As well as taking part in steps along the way, you’ll get to taste and try each dish!

You’ll be guided through cooking a range of delicious Moroccan/Israeli dishes that are full of spices and perfect for sharing, including:
- Meatballs with pickled figs
- Preserved lemon and carrot salata
- Jam doughnuts

- Recipe cards to take home and practice
- A preserve of your choice to cook with at home
What to bring
- We have some aprons but feel free to bring your own
- Please tie long hair back
- Closed toe shoes
About the instructor
Orlin Ben Ami is a Moroccan Israeli immigrant with a passion for food. A previous Free to Feed instructor, she now runs Social Appetiser workshops to reconnect with her culture and connect local communities.

Notes
The dishes contain meat, dairy, eggs and nuts. Some dishes will be vegetarian and variations will be included in recipes but cannot be altered for the workshop.
This workshop requires a minimum number of 8 participants to go ahead. In the event we don’t get enough participants, we will postpone the event to a later date. Refunds will be offered to those who cannot attend the new date.
