Through coffee and preserves, we’re fighting to reduce waste, end hunger and replenish the planet. We want to overhaul outdated, wasteful food systems and provide an equitable future for farming communities and women across Asia and Australia. Why?
Because business as usual isn’t working.
Globally, we waste roughly 1.3 billion tonnes of food annually, yet food insecurity is at an all time high.
While most Australians love their morning latte, coffee farmers are some of the lowest paid farmers in the world.
By emitting roughly 36 billion tonnes of CO2 annually, Planet Earth is on a path to climate catastrophe.
And we’re not okay with any of that.

Terrific quality & super consistent roasted beans from the most caring folk. 🤩When I first stepped into this place, I was completely blown away. I couldn't believe that in the middle of this bustling city, there was such a peaceful, serene spot that felt so natural and untouched. It's a coffee shop, but honestly , it feels more like a sustainable eco-lodge than anything else. As soon as you push the door open, you're greeted with all sorts of well-packed, homemade, eco-friendly sauces and foods. Over the past six months, this place has become my little sanctuary. Every morning, I get up half an hour earlier, drive here, and grab a cup of batch brew coffee, just for that smile when they hand me the coffee and the little chit-chat while I wait. It's a family-run business with a strong focus on sustainability, and they're doing everything they can to make a difference. They deserve all the admiration. Love you guys! Absolutely love this cafe - an institution! Not only is the food & coffee amazing, but the business is also doing amazing things for our planet - I was amazed to find out what these guys are doing!! Every kilo of coffee sold leads to a tree being planted in Timor Leste. Andrew Mahar, who is involved in the cafe, is a legend in the social enterprise space (with an Order of Australia to boot) & together with his son & daughter Alice & Jake have created a socially conscious, sustainable business. Alice has even had a tweet about her by Barak Obama acknowledging her great work in creating a locally based food initiative which involves collecting fruit from the local communuty & preserving it, which avoids food waste & enhances food security. If only all businesses were run with the same purpose & love, our planet would be a better place. I really love the cakes, which are all lovingly home made, as well as the delicious toasties. Keep up the great work guys, love what you are doing!
